Kuleba and Siyarto in Transcarpathia
Ukraine and Hungary will hold meetings of various national commissions, after which a decision on a summit meeting can be made.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is ready to hold a meeting with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky after successful bilateral commission negotiations on a number of issues. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto said this on Wednesday, September 23, during his visit to Transcarpathia, writes Europravda.
“This meeting must be taken seriously so that it does not lack meaning. First, we want to reach preliminary agreements on good neighborly relations, for this the results of the meetings of the commissions mentioned by Mr. Kuleba are important. If these meetings are successful , we will be able to arrange a meeting of the leaders of the countries. “, said Siyjarto.
According to Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, three commissions are scheduled to meet in the near future: on issues of national minorities, on education and on cross-border cooperation.
“We also agreed to structure our interaction on the cooperation programs that Hungary is implementing in the Transcarpathian region. We also agreed to immediately hold a business forum of Ukrainian and Hungarian companies under the auspices of our ministries,” Kuleba added.
Hungary will refuse to block meetings on Ukraine in NATO as soon as “the Hungarians of Transcarpathia inform us that the issue of the language law and the education law have been resolved positively for them,” Siyjarto recalled the position of Budapest.
Let us remind you that in June Kuleba and Siyarto discussed problematic issues, including blocking the work of the Ukraine-NATO commission, the Hungarian Prime Minister’s visit to Kiev and the Transcarpathian issue.
