Svetlana Tikhanovskaya declared that Lukashenka’s inauguration is a sham. According to her, now Lukashenka’s orders are invalid and she is the sole leader of the Belarusian people.

Ukraine will hold an urgent meeting on the situation in Belarus

Chancellor Dmytro Kuleba said that the Ukrainian authorities will hold urgent meetings due to the inauguration of Lukashenka, which was secret. After the meeting, Ukraine’s position on Lukashenka’s legitimacy as president will be determined.

“Not a single foreign ambassador was invited, not even the state of union ambassador of the Russian Federation, who fully supports Lukashenko,” Kuleba said.

Lukashenko’s legitimacy was denied in Estonia and Latvia

According to Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu, Lukashenko’s inauguration contravenes all the principles of democracy.

“He has clearly lost his mandate,” Reinsalu said.

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevichs said that Lukashenka’s inauguration does not legitimize electoral fraud and his status as head of Belarus.

Tihanovskaya no longer considers Lukashenko the legitimate president

One of the opposition leaders in Belarus, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, announced that she would no longer recognize Lukashenko as the legitimate president.

“His secret inauguration is an attempt to seize power. It also means that after today, Alexander Lukashenko is not the legal head of Belarus. The only solution is free and fair elections,” Tikhanovskaya said.

Slovakia and Lithuania did not recognize Lukashenko as president

Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korchok tweeted that Lukashenka is responsible for the electoral fraud. At the same time, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevichus called Lukashenka’s inauguration a sham.

“Fake elections. Fake inauguration. The former president of Belarus has not become less ex. On the contrary. His illegality is a fact with all consequent consequences,” Linkevichus wrote.

Minsk shops and businesses announced shorter working hours

In particular, the “5th Element” store will be closed. In addition, September 23 was declared a non-working day at the IT company “Rozum Robotics” in connection with the “Lukashenka opening festive event”.

The opposition plans an indefinite protest

The Belarusian opposition plans to hold an indefinite protest action in connection with the secret inauguration of Lukashenka.

“We will never agree to falsification and demand new elections! We call on everyone to initiate an indefinite action of disobedience,” wrote Pavel Latushko, member of the Coordination Council, on Telegram.

Belarusians are urged to protest

The Nexta Telegram channel published a message asking citizens of Belarus to go to the central squares of their cities at 6:00 p.m. At the same time, Minsk reports that at least two protesters have already been arrested.
