On September 22, the sale of SmartTicket, tickets for long-distance trains and metro, was launched in Kiev. The initiative was implemented within the framework of the unified electronic ticket project.

Infrastructure Minister Vladislav Krikliy announced this on Telegram.

It is reported that these tickets can be purchased on the electronic services transportation portal: transport.gov.ua and SmartTicket.gov.ua. Thus, passengers have access to electronic tickets for trains and urban transport in Kiev.

“In November, together with SkyUp and Gunsel Lines, we will start with a single e-ticket for air transport and passenger bus transport, as well as Ukrzaliznytsia commuter trains. In December, we started cooperation with Bolt,” he added Krykliy.

We will recall, it was previously reported that the Mariupol, Kharkiv and Lviv region took an interest in the implementation of SmartTicket. Within the framework of this project, all types of transport (trains, buses, airplanes and urban) will be connected by a single electronic ticket.

It was also previously known that Kiev is ready to postpone the full transition to an e-ticket in public transport until January 1, 2021.
