The IMF has not yet announced the date of the mission’s visit to Ukraine.
The IMF’s follow-up mission will visit Ukraine in October-November, the minister said. As long as the communication is online.
The IMF mission may reach Ukraine in October-November, said Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko. He said this on the air of the Freedom of Speech program on ICTV.
“The information about the hiatus is a rumor. Today, the Prime Minister spoke with the head of the IMF’s European Department and discussed a possible mission visit in the near future. The Fund’s mission asks several questions, in particular about the new budget. We will discuss these questions over the next week, and there is every reason to believe that in October (possibly November) the fund’s mission will be in Ukraine, “says Marchenko.
According to him, the government communicates online with the IMF at least once a week.
The day before, the Cabinet of Ministers reported that they had asked the IMF to start the online monitoring mission.
Authorities expect the second tranche from the IMF by the end of the year, presumably in December.
