The Partizansky District Court in Minsk dismissed the defense complaint of Maria Kolesnikova, member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council of the Belarusian opposition, in connection with her arrest. The court session, which was held behind closed doors, lasted more than three and a half hours.

Kolesnikova participated in the hearing by video link. Lawyers Lyudmila Kazak and Alexander Pylchenko said they would appeal the court decision.
Several dozen people went to court to support the opponent, including the ambassadors of the EU countries: the ambassador of France, Austria, Romania, employees of the EU Delegation in Belarus, the embassies of Great Britain, Latvia, Netherlands and others.
We will remember, Maria Kolesnikova is a suspect in the seizure of power. This criminal case was opened against members of the opposition coordination council.
Furthermore, on September 18, a court in Belarus extended Kolesnikova’s arrest until November 8. The decision to extend the arrest is related to the charge against you taking power.
Kolesnikova faces a prison sentence of two to five years.
