Ukraine’s Health Ministry called the situation with the spread of the coronavirus in the country “quite tense.” Now almost half of the beds for COVID-19 patients are occupied.

This was stated by the head of the ministry Maxim Stepanov on the air of “Freedom of expression” on ICTV.

He noted that on the morning of September 21, more than 13,000 beds were occupied in hospitals throughout the country.

“We consider the situation (with the coronavirus – ed.) As quite tense. Due to the 30 thousand beds provided for coronavirus patients, 13 108 were occupied this morning,” Stepanov said.

We will remember, in Ukraine 2,675 cases of coronavirus were confirmed during the past day.

RBC-Ukraine wrote that on September 18 in Ukraine the list of quarantined regions was updated. Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Chernivtsi were excluded from the “red zone”. In total, the settlements in 7 regions were in the “red zone”.

Likewise, the State Commission for Safety and Technogenic and Environmental Emergencies (TEB and ES) has established new restrictions in the regions of the “red” quarantine zone.
