A fire broke out in the range of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the shooting

The spread of the fire was stopped and now the elimination of the consequences of the fire continues.

At the range of the Southern Operational Command, during regular firefighting, dry grass in the field and dead wood in the forest belt caught fire. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on its Facebook page on Monday, September 21.

“Thanks to the joint and well-coordinated operational actions of the personnel involved in the exercises, and representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the spread of the fire was stopped and now the elimination of the consequences of the fire continues,” the message says.

Suitable aviation and fire fighting equipment was used for extinguishing.

“The personnel and technical means did not suffer,” said the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The army does not specify at what distance the fire occurred, but yesterday in the Nikolaev region the joint Ukrainian-British exercises United Efforts-2020 began. During the maneuvers, tasks are carried out in accordance with NATO standards and procedures to increase the compatibility of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Alliance.

In addition, today it became known that in the Kherson region, in preparation for the United Efforts-2020 exercises, they successfully tested improved missiles for the Alder complex.
