The first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Donbass, Vitold Fokin, said under what conditions he would cease to participate in their work. He does not rule out that this could happen in a month.
He spoke about this in an interview with “Ucraniana Radio”.
According to him, he cannot leave the TCG because “now they are rinsing him in the mud.”
“This will not break me. But if I do not receive the support of the authorities, I will be forced to leave. Although I know that many people will be disappointed, because they trust me and expect positive decisions from me,” said Fokin.
He also commented on the time when he can leave the TCG.
“I don’t recognize the language of an ultimatum. We should always seek a compromise. But in fact, if no one listens to my individual proposals for a month, I will probably think about it,” Fokin added.
We will recall, earlier Fokin said that he finally decided to join the Ukrainian delegation after he was persuaded by “Donbass people”.
“The calls from friends in Donbass became defining. Once the guys from Stakhanov called. They asked me a lot not to turn down this offer. Two weeks later I accepted,” he said.
It also emerged that Fokin will attend the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on the Organization of State Power on September 29. He was invited after the scandalous statements about the settlement of the situation in Donbass.
