In Ukraine, new criteria for quarantine zones
When establishing quarantine zones, the occupancy of beds, the number of tests per 100,000 inhabitants and the incidence rate will be evaluated.
The government has changed the threshold for the yellow and orange quarantine zones. And concerts were allowed in the green zone. The corresponding decree was published on the government website.
According to the changes, if the region is filled with 50 to 75% of hospital beds to receive COVID-19 patients for five consecutive days, then the entire region is set to an “orange level”. The same will happen if fewer than 24 tests are performed per 100,000 inhabitants in a PCR testing region for five days in a row.
In a region with a COVID-19 incidence rate lower than the baseline (no more than 40 per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days), a “green zone” is automatically established.
In turn, if the basic level of morbidity of the population is exceeded by 100,000, the following levels are established in certain administrative territories:
Also among the novelties is the permission to perform concerts in the “green zone”.
