Zelensky’s rating continues to fall
If the presidential elections in Ukraine were held in mid-September 2020, Volodymyr Zelenskyy would receive the most votes. The current president is expected to have the support of 31.8% of those who have decided on a candidate and plan to go to the polls.
This is evidenced by the data from the KIIS survey.
In addition, they plan to vote:
- 18.9% – for Petro Poroshenko,
- 13.3% – for Yuri Boyko,
- 9.8% – for Yulia Tymoshenko,
- 6.8% – for Igor Smeshko,
- 6% – for Oleg Lyashko,
- 4.9% – for Anatoly Gritsenko,
- 2.3% – for Alexander Vilkul,
- for other candidates: only 6.1%
The KIIS data indicates a downgrade in Zelensky’s rating. In April, it received the support of 42.6% of those surveyed, in late May and early June, 37.6% of voters.
The Kiev International Sociology Institute (KIIS) conducted a CATI survey on September 12-16, 2020 among 2,000 respondents across Ukraine, with the exception of Russian-occupied territories. The statistical error of the sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) does not exceed: 2.2% for indicators close to 50%, 2.1% – for indicators close to 50%. 25%, 1.4% – for indicators close to 10%.
As a reminder, according to a KIIS poll, in mid-September the rating of the Servant of the People party fell to 21.5%.
Note that according to a survey by the Sociological Group “Rating”, if the presidential elections in Ukraine were held in early September 2020, then 29% of citizens would vote for Volodymyr Zelensky.
