Former FIFA referee Miroslav stupar shared his opinion on the refereeing in the Premier League third round match “Dynamo” – “Lviv” (3: 1).
Note that the referee’s most mysterious decision was the dismissal of guest defender Mikhouby for pointing out against Tsygankov (second yellow), after which it was not a penalty that was awarded in the Lviv penalty area, but a free kick towards the Dynamo goal.
“Mihouby deserved both yellow cards. Initially, he prevented Buschan from putting the ball into play, for which he was sanctioned. And then he rocked Tsygankov in his own penalty area. But Kopievsky did not see this, this is unequivocal. Because he controlled the course of the game, he watched the Dynamo attack and Shaparenko owned the ball.
The whistle sounded as the Lviv team knocked out the ball. Kopievskiy approached Mikhouby and Tsygankov, reminding the Lvov defender that he fouled his opponent with his hand and punished him with a second yellow. But why did you take a free kick in the direction of Dynamo’s goal and not a penalty against Lvov? There is no explanation for this. If Kopievsky believed that Tsygankov caused the situation, both players should have received a yellow card. But that did not happen. The version is that the referee on the field decided Mihouby’s punishment based on the assistant’s advice. But it is not clear why they confused the situation so that the deserved second yellow was received by the Lvov player, and the penalty was awarded towards the Dynamo goal, – said Miroslav Stupar.
