At a post-match press conference, Dmitry Mikhailenko announced that he had resigned.

“Unfortunately, the start is not what we planned. I already spoke to the guys in the locker room. Time to say it at the press conference. Bad start, something goes wrong, time to go, time to turn the page. It sounds bitter and It’s Too bad, I spent a lot of time at the club for more than 20 years as a player and coach, so something has to change. We are leaving together with the coaching staff. “

“I’d like to thank everyone – the fans, the management, the president, and the guys for being there all this time. Now is the time for the ship to change the captain, no matter how offensive it sounds, it’s time to go.” Dmitry Mikhailenko said.

Recall that the 47-year-old specialist has been training Dnipro-1 since the summer of 2017. Mikhailenko brought the club from the Second League to the UPL.

This means that the loss against Mariupol was Dmitry’s last match as Dnipro-1 head coach.
