The Ministry of Health has updated the protocol for the treatment of coronavirus: what has changed

The Ministry of Health is updating the coronavirus treatment protocol. Expansion of the drug use scheme.

This was stated in a briefing by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov.

This protocol is intended to be used by all health workers who provide care for patients with coronavirus, said the head of the Ministry of Health.

“Yesterday, September 17, I signed an order approving a new protocol for the provision of medical care for the treatment of coronavirus disease, developed by our leading specialists,” he said.

The main changes were: introduction of the expansion of the use of glucocorticoids, determination of algorithms for the appointment of anticoagulant therapy.

In addition, additions were made to protocols with approaches to antimicrobial therapy, indications for prescribing drugs were specified. The protocol fully includes approaches to drug therapy and oxygen support to patients.

As a reminder, the Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the importation of four drugs for the treatment of coronavirus in Ukraine.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, Ukraine may increase fines for selling non-prescription drugs: in early August, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine registered the corresponding bill No. 3948 with BP.
