However, according to experts, Alexander Yaroslavsky, businessman, owner of the investment group DCH, former chairman of FC Metalist, is also very popular in the city. Experts named him a probable candidate for several political forces at the same time.
“Although a businessman is exponentially moving away from politics, he is a very attractive candidate, for example, for the Presidency as a non-systemic candidate. This means that different scenarios are possible. However, if Yaroslavsky does not agree to participate in the race, the experts add, the townspeople will choose the mayor among other lesser-known personalities.
In particular, Kernes’ team will be represented by his first substitute, Igor Terekhov.
Fesenko draws attention to the fact that in recent years Terekhov has already replaced Kernes at important image events, during meetings with foreign delegations and the like. However, his 100% victory is not worth talking about in this regard.
According to the managing partner of the National Anti-Crisis Group, Taras Zagorodny, the option of the so-called “successor” is ruled out, since such a candidate will not be able to convert Kernes’s rating, even in such a short time.
