Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at the Women’s Forum in Minsk, said he was forced to close the border with Lithuania and Poland.
The video of his speech was posted by TUT.BY.
In addition, Belarus, according to him, will “strengthen” the border with Ukraine:
«We are forced to withdraw the troops from the streets, put half the army in arms and close the state border from the west, mainly with Lithuania and Poland. We are forced to strengthen the state border, with the greatest regret, with our fraternal Ukraine, ”Lukashenka announced. After that, the audience began to applaud.
The self-proclaimed president did not elaborate. He appealed to the people of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, urging them to “stop their crazy politicians.”
“We don’t know what they will launch next. We understand there are few techniques left in your arsenal before you unleash a fiery war … In recent days I have been forced, together with the President of Russia and the Defense Minister, to rebuild the general defense of the trade union state, ”he added.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko said that the United States for the past ten years «meticulously “prepared «destroy Belarus “and used their «satellites “Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Ukraine. Ukraine, he said, has become «an outpost of political provocations ”.
Anti-government protests broke out after the presidential elections on August 9. The Belarusian protesters consider the election results to be falsified and demand new, fair and transparent elections. Ukraine and the European Union support them.
The Belarusian dictator rejected any concessions and attempts at dialogue with the protesters, repeatedly claiming that Belarus’ western neighbors were behind the wave of protests.
