The Belarusian Foreign Ministry on Wednesday 16 September issued a statement on the Hasidim trapped at the border, calling on Ukraine to respect their rights. The corresponding statement was published by the department’s press service.

The protesters are confident that the real reason for the ban on crossing the cordon introduced by Ukraine is not in COVID-19, but in the fact that it is they, the Hasidim, who the Ukrainian authorities do not want to let into the country.
