The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has changed the conditions for dividing regions into quarantine zones. The regions participated in making decisions about the “red” areas.
The corresponding decision was made today by the Cabinet.
Decision on the “red zone” quarantine will be adopted jointly by the state and regional commissions of safety and technogenic and environmental emergencies, in the event that more than 75% of the beds in hospitals are loaded for 5 days in a row, the average incidence of cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in 14 days is more than 5 times higher.
The strengthening of the quarantine in the “red zones” will also be determined by a joint decision of the state and regional commissions on energy and fuel security and emergency situations.
“This can be a one-time closure of all areas or the gradual limitation of certain areas leading to outbreaks in a particular region,” the head of the Health Ministry, Maxim Stepanov, told the meeting.
Visits to educational institutions will be prohibited in all areas in the event that more than 50% of the classes are sent to self-isolation. Additionally, the decision to close schools in the “red zone” will be made jointly by state and regional commissions.
By “orange zone”. Informative materials about the area and the maximum possible number of visitors are necessarily installed at the entrance of the event or at the entrance of the institution. The rule on the prohibition of transport in public transport is excluded when 50% of the seats are occupied.
The decision was made with review in one day.
Also, Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal said that the highest level of restriction will be introduced if the incidence in the region is more than 5 times higher than the average in Ukraine.
Earlier it was reported that 19 regions and Kiev are not ready to weaken the quarantine in Ukraine.
It should be noted that Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Ternopil and other cities and regions in 11 regions are now in the “red zone”.
