Apple has announced its new entry-level tablet. This is the eighth generation of iPad, which offers users a performance boost.
The device received a more efficient processor compared to its predecessor. The novelty has the A12 Bionic chip on board, which was used in last year’s iPad Air and iPad mini models. Thanks to the new chip, for the first time in an entry-level tablet, the characteristics of the neural engine appeared, the CPU performance increased by 40%, and the graphics performance immediately doubled.
The tablet is equipped with a 10.2-inch Retina display. The device supports the ability to use the first generation Apple Pencil to create handwritten notes, graphics, and illustrations. The novelty continues to use the proprietary Lightning connector in place of the USB-C port, which is used in older Apple laptops and tablet models. Apple’s new eighth-generation iPad will be available in 32GB and 128GB models. The base version is priced at $ 329 ($ 459 for an LTE configuration). For educational institutions, there is a discounted price of $ 299. Deliveries are scheduled to begin September 18. The new model is compatible with existing cases.
