The Finance Ministry has presented a state budget project for 2021 for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers, reports the department’s press service on Monday, September 14.
“The draft state budget for 2021 will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration in time,” the message reads.
According to the legislation, the state budget project must be submitted to parliament before September 15.
At the same time, the Ministry of Finance does not publish indicators of the future budget, but names its priorities, which include: raising the minimum wage, high-quality education, affordable medicines, countering the pandemic and COVID-19, vaccines, attention to the old age (helps retirees over 75 years old), reliable defense and security. , large-scale construction (roads), convenient transportation infrastructure (new passenger cars), cultural development, support for high-performance sports, large-scale digitization of the economy, rich regions.
Subsequently, the government representative in the Rada, Vasyl Mokan, said that the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2021 in an extraordinary meeting.

Note that the Cabinet of Ministers expects that after 7.5% of the state budget deficit this year, next year it will be 6%, and in another two years it will drop to 3%.
According to the NSDC, next year Ukraine will increase spending on the security and defense sector from 5.45% of GDP to 5.92%.
