In Austria and the Czech Republic, they noticed an increase in the number of coronavirus cases and announced the beginning of the second wave of the epidemic.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz hopes that in the near future the country will reach 1,000 cases of infection per day, reports Die Presse.

“Two weeks ago there were around 350 infections a day, yesterday, more than 850. The development is especially dramatic in Vienna, where around 50% of all new infections are recorded in Austria,” Kurz said, expressing hope that can lead a normal life. Come back next summer, having survived the “tough fall and winter.”

According to Ceskenoviny.cz, the representative of the Czech government in the field of health Roman Primula also announced the start of the second wave of COVID-19. He hopes that by the end of the month the country will have as many cases per day as in spring.

Primrose fears that Czech hospitals will be overcrowded by the end of October if the coronavirus continues to spread at the same rate. During the last day, 1541 cases of infection were registered in the country.
