Ten thousand people participated in the women’s march in Minsk on Saturday. During the protest actions in Belarus, the security forces detained about 70 people.

Belsat’s correspondents, Yekaterina Andreeva and Maksim Kalitovsky, were also among those arrested.
The publication clarifies that they are accused of disobeying police officers and violating media legislation. The trial must take place on Tuesday, September 15.
We remind you that on Saturday a women’s march was held in Minsk demanding a new presidential election, as well as in support of the detained representatives of the opposition coordination council. Before the start of the march, the security forces detained the protesters who had gathered in Freedom Square.
Human rights activists announced the arrest of more than 30 participants in the march.
Furthermore, opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya called on the Belarusian security forces to stop the violence and also threatened them with being responsible for crimes against the people.
