The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, evaluated the possibility of dissolving the parliament of the ninth convocation. He believes that the current convocation of the Rada will be completed until the end of his term.
The speaker of parliament said this on the air of the television channel NewsOne.
According to Razumkov, today he sees no legal grounds for the early termination of the powers of the ninth convocation of the Ukrainian parliament.
“If we are talking about how long the Verkhovna Rada will work, then I think it will work until the end of its term, as provided by the Constitution,” he stressed.
As you know, Zelensky has already dissolved parliament. This happened during his inauguration in 2019. Then the president dissolved the eighth convocation of the Rada. After the formation of the new parliament, he repeatedly threatened the people’s deputies that he would also dissolve them.
Let us remember that in July the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia, evaluated the possibility of dissolving the Rada in less than 1%. He explained that President Vladimir Zelensky is not interested in dissolving parliament.
