Andriy Prokopenko resigned
Prokopenko said the main reason for his departure was the lack of opportunities to influence personnel policy.
The head of the Chernihiv regional state administration, Andriy Prokopenko, has resigned. He announced it on Saturday, September 12 on his Facebook page.
“I submitted my resignation from the post of chairman of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration. The main reason is that I am practically deprived of influence on personnel policy and the formation of candidates for the regional council,” Prokopenko said.
According to him, “the president of the regional state administration without his deputies in the regional council is a weak president of the regional state administration, who will not be able to implement the regional development strategy.”
“And without this, my job is pointless,” Prokopenko said.
He noted that this conflict could harm the president, so he decided not to aggravate it and leave.
We recall that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Andrey Prokopenko as Chairman of the Chernigov Regional State Administration in early November 2019.
Parliamentary elections begin in the Chernihiv region
