The Ukrainian side sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus
Ukrainian diplomats reacted to the violation of the immunity of the head of the diplomatic mission in Belarus by the border guards.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a protest note to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry following the border inspection of the Ukrainian diplomat Igor Kizima. This was reported on Friday, September 11, by the UNN agency with reference to the ministry.
“Immediately after the incident surrounding the registration of the car of the Ukrainian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, the Ukrainian side sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus with the demand to provide explanations and qualify the actions of the guards border lines of Belarus, “the department said.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry described this attitude towards the head of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Belarus as “hostile” and noted that “Ukraine reserves the right to act on the basis of reciprocity in relation to this incident” .
Let us remind you that a video appeared on the web of how officials from the Republic’s State Border Control inspected Kizima’s car on the border with Belarus, thus violating the Vienna Convention; according to her, diplomats and their luggage are inviolable.
Earlier, the ambassador himself spoke about the provocation of the Belarusian border guards and Minsk’s anti-Ukrainian rhetoric.
