Between the current head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, and his predecessor, Andriy Bogdan, a mutual antipathy arose from the moment they met. Bogdan himself stated this in an interview with the founder of the Internet edition “GORDON” Dmitry Gordon.
When asked by a reporter what impression Yermak made on him at the first meeting, Bogdan replied that he did not like “men with feline habits.”
“Somehow we don’t like each other right away. I don’t like people, men, with feline habits. There is an association with animals in people, I have that association,” Bogdan said.
To the question “how did Andrei Yermak appear in Vladimir Zelensky’s team?” Bogdan replied that he had not seen him at the electoral campaign stage.
“As far as I know, this is an old friend of his. So Vladimir Alexandrovich introduced me to who he is. But he did not appear, he did not exist in the team during the elections, he already appeared in the Office of the President,” emphasized Bogdan.
“Saying goodbye, Zelensky said,” You are like an unloved woman. “Full text of interview with Bogdan Gordon
Lawyer and economist Andrei Bogdan was appointed head of the Presidential Administration in May 2019 (the department was later renamed the Office of the President). In February 2020, Zelensky fired Bogdan. In an interview with Ukrainskaya Pravda, the president called Bohdan’s appointment a mistake, as conflicts broke out within the team.
Lawyer and film producer Andriy Yermak has been an assistant to the President of Ukraine since May 21, 2019. Initially he was in charge of international politics, but over time, other issues also came into his sphere of responsibility. According to BBC Ukraine, he was responsible for the negotiations with Russia on Donbass and the exchange of prisoners, and also prepared the Normandy talks in Paris from the Ukrainian side in December 2019.
On February 11, 2020, immediately after Bogdan’s dismissal, Zelensky appointed Yermak as head of his office. On the eve of his on-air appointment of the Real Politics program with Yevgeny Kiselyov on the Ukraine 24 television channel, Yermak claimed that he had and had no competition with Bogdan.
“We have no competition, I came to the team with the president, I work directly following the president’s instructions. And I can tell you, I believe this is correct and this is my position: I have respectful working relationships with all members of the team.” Ermak.
After interviewing Gordon, investigators from the State Investigations Office summoned Bogdan for questioning to carry out investigative actions and verify the facts that he had expressed. The ministry stressed that the former head of the Presidency was summoned as a witness. Bogdan confirmed that he will come for questioning on Monday, September 14.
