The miners at the Kryvyi Rih iron ore plant are demanding higher wages. Management refuses.

In Krivoy Rog, striking iron ore miners are calling on the president and prime minister to intervene, the president of the Independent Union of Miners Mikhail Volynets said on Facebook on Friday, September 11.

According to him, the management of the Krivoy Rog iron ore plant refuses to comply with the miners’ demands.

“In the main demand of the protesters – an increase in wages – it was shown that the miners, as before, will not be taken into account,” wrote Volynets.

According to him, this means that “the struggle has entered a new round” and the country’s leadership must intervene in the situation.

Meanwhile, the miners held a protest not only clandestine, but also in the administration of the company.
