The People’s Deputy of Ukraine of “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko and the People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the Servant of the People party Irina Vereshchuk publicly discussed the professionalism of the candidates for the post of mayor of Kiev.
Ukraine’s People’s Deputy for “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko criticized Oleg Filimonov for being a comedian, not a professional, but a candidate for mayor of Odessa. She said this during the broadcast of the talk show “Right to Power” on the television channel “1 + 1”.
In response, the Ukrainian people’s deputy of the Servant of the People party, the candidate for mayor of Kiev, Iryna Vereshchuk, reminded him that Klitschko, when “negotiating with Poroshenko to become mayor, was not a professional either.”
To which Gerashchenko said that Klitschko did not fly with an umbrella over Kiev, but that he had excellent experience working in the city hall, was a deputy, leader of a large UDAR party and a large parliamentary faction.
In turn, Vereshchuk noted that while flying on an umbrella, he got a good look at the Lenin Kuznya, Podolsko-Voskresensky Bridge, Roshen stores, which “grew like mushrooms after the rain, provided such fruitful cooperation between Poroshenko and Klitschko.”
July 16 at a meeting of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the people” Irina Vereshchuk was chosen as the candidate of this party for the election of the mayor of Kiev, which will take place at the end of October 2020.
On September 3, Vereshchuk was seen on a pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Kiev in the image of Mary Poppins, a fairy tale character from the story of the writer Pamela Travers. He was floating in the air on a safety rope with a yellow raincoat and a green umbrella in his hands. The video could be part of his campaign, Vereshchuk said.
