In the northeast of Jordan, in the city of Zarqa, several explosions broke out. They took place at the Jordanian army base.

This is reported by Reuters, citing a source from the country’s security service.

It is not clear at this time what caused the explosions in the area where dozens of military bases are located on the outskirts of the huge industrial city.

According to residents, in some parts of Zarqabyl, the windows of houses were broken.

According to Interfax, citing Jordanian media, two people died and three were injured as a result of the explosion.

A video circulated on social media showing how a strong fireball lights up the night sky.

According to the Minister of Media Relations, Amjad Al-Adayleh, the explosion occurred in a warehouse containing unusable mortars belonging to the Jordanian armed forces, according to Al Arabia TV.

According to him, the preliminary investigation showed that the explosion was caused by a short circuit in warehouses located in an isolated, non-residential area.

The minister also noted that there were no victims of the explosions.

Jordanian Health Minister Saad Jaber also told Sky News Arabia that the Zarqa bombing did not result in casualties.
