Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has no plans to relinquish or relinquish power. According to Lukashenka, people did not choose him for that.

This was stated during the presentation of the new Attorney General’s Office, reports BelTA.

Lukashenko added that he does not want Belarus’ power to go back to the 1990s, when “their feet were cleaned.”

“I want to tell you as a man so that we do not remain underestimated. They often reproach me that” he will not give up power. “They are rightly reproached. People did not choose me for this. Power is not given to take, He threw it and he gave it away … No one will dare to throw the authorities into the mud, as they demand, ”Lukashenka said.

Recall that yesterday Lukashenka appointed Andrei Shved the new Attorney General of Belarus.

Before that, Lukashenko decided to replace the heads of the Security Council and the KGB.

Also, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Lukashenka is leaning towards snap elections in the country, which may occur after the constitutional change.

It should be noted that protest actions continue in Belarus now. At the same time, the security forces have recently arrested almost all the members of the Presidium of the Opposition Coordination Council. One of the opposition leaders, Maria Kolesnikova, is a suspect in the seizure of power, faces up to 5 years in prison.
