The first involves an attempt to negotiate with Russia. In the event of a breakdown, the rest will be used.

The National Defense and Security Council is considering five options for vacating CADLO, of which the first has been used so far. This was announced on Wednesday September 9 by NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov on the air of Ukraine 24 television channel.

“Now the first option is in operation: a political and diplomatic way to resolve the situation. This is when diplomats and politicians are working. We are making an attempt to negotiate with Russia to get them out of our house,” Danilov said.

At the same time, he stressed that in the event of failure, Ukraine will have every right to switch to other options.

The head of the department also commented on the statements on the situation in eastern Ukraine by the head of the Ukrainian delegation at the Minsk talks, Leonid Kravchuk, and his deputy Vitold Fokin.

“Both Kravchuk and Fokin, who are appointed to the TCG, have their own opinions on certain issues. They have some experience. But you have to understand that this is their position as a person, as a citizen,” Danilov said, adding that on many issues , its position is not that of Ukraine.

We will recall, earlier Fokin said that a special status can be granted to the entire territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, and not only to the occupied regions, and to the amnesty of all participants in hostilities.

The words of the first deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG were harshly criticized both by politicians and by society.

In relation to Fokin’s statement, Kravchuk noted that this is the personal opinion of his deputy and that he did not consult with the delegation.
