Frankivsk City Council challenged the division of Ukraine into epidemic zones in court

It is requested that the division of Ukraine into “colored” zones be invalidated within the framework of the adaptive quarantine.

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council appealed to the Kiev District Administrative Court with a claim to invalidate the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on the introduction of “green”, “yellow”, “orange” and “red” epidemiological danger levels in Ukraine . This was reported by the court’s press service on Wednesday, September 9.

We are talking about paragraphs 1 to 36 of the government decree No. 641 on the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of improved measures against the epidemic in the territory with a significant spread of the acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS coronavirus- CoV-2.

In addition, the decree defines a series of prohibitions depending on the establishment of the level of epidemic danger.

Now the court is deciding the question of the opening of a procedure on this administrative claim.

Let us remember that Chernivtsi will also sue the Cabinet of Ministers for quarantine. The Chernivtsi mayor’s office joins a similar lawsuit in Ternopil.

Earlier, Zelensky accused mayors who oppose the quarantine of populism. The president says this is how mayors want to please voters. He called on the local authorities to be a united team with the central leadership of the country.
