A lawyer met with a member of the Presidium of the Coordination Council of Belarus and one of the leaders of the protests in Belarus, Maria Kolesnikova. Prior to that, for two days, her condition and whereabouts were hardly known.

This was reported by the press service of Víctor Babariko’s headquarters on the Telegram channel.

Kolesnikova is in Minsk prison on suspicion of “an attempt to seize state power”.

According to lawyer Lyudmila Kazak, the opponent feels fine, despite the stress he has been through. She has six cellmates.

«At the remand center, Maria received help: her blood pressure rose and her heart was worried. She has bruises on her body, her hands hurt when they pushed her into the car and held her forcibly, ”it was reported.

After being arrested on the morning of September 7, Kolesnikova was taken to the GUBOPiK (Main Directorate for the Fight against Organized Crime and Corruption) – he spent half a day there. After that, she was transported to the KGB, where they demanded that she agree to leave Belarus on her own. Kolesnikova refused and was forcibly taken to the border. At GUBOPiK, she was threatened with physical harm.

«Lyudmila Kazak draws attention to the fact that Maria Kolesnikova has no documents about her arrest. She was only given a decree on the choice of a preventive measure in the form of detention, sanctioned by the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation on September 8, which does not indicate who, when, where she was detained, ”the headquarters stressed.

On the morning of September 7, Maria Kolesnikova was abducted by unknown persons wearing masks. In the center of Minsk she was arrested, put in a minibus with the sign “Communication” and took her in an unknown direction. After that, her whereabouts are unknown. The council’s press secretary, Anton Rodnenkov, began to find out where Kolesnikova was; soon her phone became unavailable. The council’s executive secretary, Ivan Kravtsov, also stopped communicating.

The next day, information emerged that Kolesnikova, together with Anton Rodnenkov and Ivan Kravtsov, were passing the border control on the border between Belarus and Ukraine.

The Belarusian regime claims that they tried to cross the border. Rodnenkov and Kravtsov speak of an attempted forced expulsion.

To avoid expulsion, Kolesnikova tore up her passport. She was stopped at the border.

Rodnenkov and Kravtsov crossed the Belarusian border and are now in Ukraine.

On September 8, at a press conference in Kiev, they said they were detained near Kolesnikova’s home, threatened with criminal responsibility, and offered to leave Belarus with her.
