Lukashenko reappointed the leadership of the KGB and the Security Council

Lukashenka commented on recent personnel changes in the leadership of the agencies responsible for the country’s security.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko removed the post of KGB chief due to the situation with the arrest of 33 Russians. The editor-in-chief of the Moscow Says radio station Roman Babayan, who participated in the interview of Russian journalists with Lukashenko, told about this.

Thus, Lukashenko appointed Valery Vakulchik, who previously headed the State Security Committee, as secretary of state of the country’s Security Council.

“We asked, because of all this history, did the head of the KGB lose his post? He said yes. He talked about this for a long time. The meaning is this: he received information that a bus with 33 people is entering Belarus.” – said Babayan.

According to Babayan, Lukashenka said that he was told that these 33 people were staying in a hotel and then that they would move to a pension.

“You ask your special services leaders a question: Will they be able to control the movement of all these people and their actions? why and why ”, Babayan quotes the words of the Belarusian president.

Let us remember that at the end of July it was announced in Belarus that more than 200 militants had arrived in the country to destabilize the situation during the electoral campaign. At the same time, 33 detainees were reported. The detained “Wagnerites” were subsequently transferred to Russia.
