Klitschko checked the city hospital No. 4
The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, reviewed the city hospital number 4, which is one of the fundamental ones for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. According to him, the hospital is almost 80 percent full.
He announced it on his Facebook page.
“The virus is not regressing. And the number of detected cases of coronavirus in the capital, unfortunately, is growing. The number of patients who need hospitalization is also increasing. Last night I was checked in the hospital of the city number 4, which is one of the fundamentals for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. I have already visited this medical institution. The main thing that doctors notice today: recently, many infected have a more severe course of the disease. And the vast majority of patients are between 30 and 60 years old, “Klitschko said.
He noted that Hospital No. 4 has its own laboratory to test and research biomaterial samples for PCR and ELISA. The institution has the necessary means of protection and medicines.
“In total, out of 1600 beds in the capital, prepared to admit coronavirus patients in 16 medical institutions, 52% of the places are occupied. If necessary, the city can re-profile departments in other medical institutions, increasing the number of beds for the treatment of patients with COVID-19. But, come on, do not drive to the worst-case scenario! Listen to what the sick are saying! Take care of yourself, “Klitschko added.
We will remember, in Ukraine during the last day, on September 8, 2,511 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Most of the cases are found in the Kiev, Kharkov and Ternopil regions.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic is 143,030. 64,703 (+1,157) people have already recovered. 2979 (+45) died. 75,348 patients remain active patients.
