During the past day, the coronavirus in Ukraine was found in 2551 people, 45 deaths were recorded, 1157 patients were recovered.

This is evidenced in the NSDC data as of Wednesday morning 9 September.

A new record was recorded in Ukraine for the number of recovered. The previous highest value was set on August 29, then 1055 people were recovered per day.

The daily incidence rate was among the top three for the entire COVID-19 pandemic: 2,723 people fell ill on September 4, 2,836 on September 5, this is a record value.

In total, during the entire time of the pandemic in Ukraine, 143,030 people fell ill, of which 64,703 recovered, deaths: 2,979.

At the moment, cases of coronavirus disease have been detected:

  • Vinnytsia region – 4503 cases;
  • Volyn region – 6015 cases;
  • Dnipropetrovsk region – 2923 cases;
  • Donetsk region: 1762 cases;
  • Zhytomyr region – 3879 cases;
  • Transcarpathic region: 8277 cases;
  • Zaporizhzhya region – 2041 cases;
  • Ivano-Frankivsk region: 10,659 cases;
  • Kirovograd region: 870 cases;
  • Kiev: 15,821 cases;
  • Kiev region – 6459 cases;
  • Lviv region: 16,269 cases;
  • Lugansk region: 480 cases;
  • Nikolaev region – 1714 cases;
  • Odessa region: 8,827 cases;
  • Poltava region – 1018 cases;
  • Rivne region: 9943 cases;
  • Sumy region: 2,243 cases;
  • Ternopil region: 7824 cases;
  • Kharkov region: 11,493 cases;
  • Kherson region: 538 cases;
  • Khmelnytsky region – 3355 cases;
  • Chernivtsi region: 11,581 cases;
  • Cherkasy region: 2121 cases;
  • Chernihiv region – 2515 cases.

Data for the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Donetsk, Lugansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are absent.

The government extended the quarantine until October 31, with a softening starting on May 22. The approach to alleviating or strengthening quarantine remained adaptable, but the principle of region allocation was changed to strengthen quarantine measures.

The country was divided into four zones according to the level of danger of the spread of the coronavirus. Each of them has a certain number of restrictions.

The new quarantine rules went into effect on August 3. The decision to divide the country into zones will be reviewed every 7 days.
