The National Police of Ukraine sent a request for assistance to Israel.
Israel will send its police officers to Ukraine to assist their Ukrainian colleagues during the Rosh Hashanah celebration in Uman. This was announced by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevgeny Yenin, on his Facebook page on Tuesday, September 8.
“Yesterday we discussed issues of interaction between central and local authorities during the celebration of Rosh Hashanah in Uman, and today the Israeli government confirmed its willingness to send six representatives of the Israeli police to help Ukrainian colleagues in places where citizens of the State of Israel stay in Uman in response to a request from the National police of Ukraine “, – wrote Yenin.
As you know, this year up to 3,000 Hasidic pilgrims are expected in Uman to celebrate the Jewish New Year (Rosh Hashanah). It was reported that this time the Israeli police will not arrive in Ukraine.
It was also reported that a hospital is being prepared for the coronavirus Hasidim in Uman. All people who have come into contact with infected pilgrims will be placed in a special isolation room.
