Thanks to this victory, the Ukrainians bypassed the Finns in personal encounters and took third place. However, Ruslan Rotan’s team is 9 points behind Romania and 12 points behind Denmark, although they have one match in reserve.
Before the end of the qualifying tournament, the Ukrainian team will play three more matches. On October 9, the team will play at home with Romania and on the 13th with Northern Ireland. The meeting with Malta and another match with Northern Ireland will take place in November.
