The Ukrainian U21 team at a party won a victory over their Finnish peers. The result was obtained even before the break.
Both of our team’s goals came down the left wing. In the middle of the first 45 minutes, Lunev burst into the penalty area from the left, fired on the move – the keeper stopped. But definitely in the hemp that came running. He opened the scoring in touch – 0: 1!
Towards the end of the half, Ruslan Rotan’s charges doubled the lead. After a superb sweeping attack, Dubinchak shot into the goalkeeper’s room from the left, and Sikan, ahead of everyone else, sent the ball into the net without any problems – 0: 2!
After the break, the owners added significantly, but could not benefit from it. On the contrary, our boys were forced to keep score with a big one. Unfortunately, Tsitaishvili, after going one-on-one, couldn’t get past the goalkeeper. And Sikan, in the same situation, decided not to approach the goalkeeper and was unsuccessful.
0: 2: Our youth team caught up with the Finns in qualifying, as well as having a match in reserve. However, the results of the rest of the group fights are not in our favor. The Danes beat Northern Ireland to the minimum, while Romania beat the Maltese team on the road. The Danes now have 19 points after 7 games, the Romanians – 16, the Finns – 7, just like ours (but the Ukrainian team had 6 fights). It will be a true miracle if the Ukrainian youth team can reach second place, which under certain conditions will qualify for Euro 2021. It is too late to dream of the first … Rotan’s team will play the next match at home in October, the rival will be the Northern Ireland youth team.
