Ukraine will open a new consulate in Romania in the city of Sighetu Marmatiei. This decision was made to support the Ukrainian community in Romania.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba during a working visit to Bucharest, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
“I have decided to open a consulate in the city of Sighetu Marmatiei. I know this is important, a key place for Ukrainians in Romania,” he said.
According to Culeba, the new consulate will create access to quality services, in addition to becoming a tool for better interaction with Romania.
We will recall, it was previously reported that Kuleba will make a working visit to Romania.
In addition, Ukraine and Romania signed an agreement to strengthen security in the Black Sea region.
We add that the government of Ukraine approved the draft agreement with Romania on the opening of an international checkpoint across the state border between Ukraine and Romania.
