German doctors announced a significant improvement in Navalny’s condition, but have not yet ruled out the long-term consequences of the poisoning for his health.

The leader of the Russian opposition, Alexei Navalny, came out of an artificial coma. This was reported by the press service of the Charite clinic in Berlin on Monday, September 7.

Navalny began to respond to the treatment of others, his condition improved significantly, German doctors noted.

“The patient’s artificial coma, which was supported by medications, is over. The patient is gradually being disconnected from the ventilator. He reacts when spoken to,” the clinic said.

At the same time, the long-term consequences of the poisoning for Navalny’s health cannot yet be ruled out, the doctors said.
