Published data on Russian and Ukrainian businessmen who received Cypriot citizenship in exchange for an investment. The list of 34 people, including Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov, was published by the Politis newspaper.
The published list, which was approved in 2008-2012, included those entrepreneurs who belonged to the “high-risk group”: they were then under investigation or their business was subject to sanctions and administrative fines.
Among the Ukrainians on this list:
- businessman Igor Kolomoisky and his family,
- businessman Gennady Bogolyubov,
- former secretary of the NSDC and co-owner of the Industrial Union of Donbass corporation Vitaliy Gaiduk,
- Elena Gaiduk,
- Mikhail Kiperman with his wife,
- Konstantin Grigorishin, Head of the Energy Standard group.
The list of Russians includes:
- former member of the board of Eurofinance Mosnarbank Vladimir Stolyarenko,
- First Vice President of Vnesheconombank Mikhail Kuzovlev,
- the founder of the group of companies “Vid” Alexey Ushamirsky,
- former Chuvashian Senator Leonid Lebedev,
- businessman Grigory Berezkin and his wife Elena,
- singer Alsu’s husband, Yan Abramov.
According to Politis, the names listed were contained in a letter from the President of the Republic Nikos Anastasiadis to the leaders of the country’s political parties. Previously, it was classified, but now the “secret” seal has been removed.
