The British government is satisfied with the lack of a trade deal with the EU, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said.
If no deal is reached, the UK will have trade relations with the EU, similar to those of the EU and Australia, the British prime minister said.
The UK’s Brexit trade deal with the EU should close before October 15, or not at all. This was stated by the country’s prime minister, Boris Johnson, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“If we cannot agree at that time, then I do not see that there is a free trade agreement between us and we must accept it and move on,” said the British prime minister.
According to him, if no agreement is reached, the UK will maintain trade relations with the EU, similar to those of the EU and Australia. This will be a good result, Johnson said.
“We will have full control over our laws, our rules and our fishing waters,” he said.
The UK is willing to reach a reasonable agreement with the EU on practical matters, including flights, freight transport or scientific cooperation, even if an exchange is not achieved, Johnson said.
“Our doors will never close and we will trade as friends and partners. But without a free trade agreement,” he explained.
Let us remind you that the EU and Great Britain cannot agree on a number of issues, including fisheries and government aid. The probability of reaching an agreement with the EU on Brexit is 30-40%, according to the British government.
