New quarantine zoning began operating in Ukraine

New quarantine zones in Ukraine

Three regional centers in western Ukraine fell into the “red quarantine zone”. Maximum quarantine restrictions were also introduced in individual cities and districts in other regions.

In Ukraine, on Monday, September 7, the updated quarantine zoning came into effect. Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Chernivtsi and several other cities were included in the “red zone”, reports the Ministry of Health.

The “red” level is set at 29 administrative-territorial units, “orange” – at 89, “yellow” – at 139.

In particular, it was decided to establish from 00:00 hours on September 7 the “red” level of the epidemic danger of spread of COVID-19 in such cities and regions:

  • Ivano-Frankivsk, Kolomyia, Kalush, Kosiv and Tysmenytsya districts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region;

  • the city of Belyaevka and the city of Izmail, as well as the Bolgradsky district of the Odessa region;

  • Dubno and Kostopolsky district of the Rivne region;

  • The Ternopil, Berezhany, Chortkov, Berezhany, Buchatsky, Gusyatinsky, Monastyryssky, Terebovlyansky, Ternopil and Chortkovsky districts of the Ternopil region;

  • Velikoburluk district of the Kharkov region;

  • Chernivtsi and Vizhnitsky, Glyboksky, Zastavnovsky, Kitsmansky, Novoselytsky, Storozhynetsky districts of the Chernivtsi region;

  • Bobrovitsky district of the Chernihiv region.

At the same time, the Gorodenkovsky district of the Ivano-Frankivsk region, which has been at the “red” level for almost two weeks, will change to “orange” since 7 September due to the improvement of the epidemic situation.

It is observed that the establishment of levels takes into account the epidemic situation in each administrative-territorial unit, that is, the number of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 14 days is taken into account.

Additionally, dozens of cities fell into the orange and yellow quarantine zones, where the restrictions are a little softer.
