The head of the Lugansk regional state administration, Sergei Gaidai, spoke out in favor of stopping the economic blockade of the occupied Donbass territories, according to Novosti Donbassa.

He believes that economic ties with ORDLO would help replenish Ukraine’s budget.

“We lost about two billion hryvnia annually. How much have we lost over the years? Let’s say 8 billion hryvnia. How many roads could we make? … For example, building a regional hospital costs 5,000 million hryvnia, “he explained.

The head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration also added that the economic blockade led to the expulsion of the hryvnia from the occupied Donbass territories.

“The hryvnia is no longer in everyday life there, there are dollars and rubles. The hryvnia is also a certain link with Ukraine,” Gaidai said.

As reported, quarantine measures were increased in the Lugansk region.
