Belarusian security forces are prepared to use force against the protesters. Law enforcement officials will use force if protesters switch to forceful methods.

This was stated by the Minister of the Interior of Belarus, Yuri Karaev, on the air of the state television channel STV.

Karaev does not exclude that the protesters may go on to violent protest actions.
