Unidentified people with caps, masks and batons in hand broke into one of the city’s cafeterias, where protesters took refuge, smashing glass doors with batons and dragging several people out.

After protests in different parts of Minsk on Sunday 6 September evening, harsh arrests are taking place, people in sports uniforms with batons are often detained, reports TUT.BY.

After the protest rally ended, about two dozen people remained near the Independence Palace in Minsk, the security forces ran behind the fence and detained several guys.

At least 20 people were detained at Victory Park. The security forces tried to reach some of the protesters; people started jumping into the water.

“At the beginning of Pobediteley avenue, unknown masked men with clubs in hand rushed at people and began to beat them. Among those who fell to the ground. The designated police officers did nothing, ”the newspaper wrote.

Some 15 unidentified men wearing caps, masks and batons stormed the O’Petit cafeteria, where the protesters had taken refuge, smashing glass doors with clubs and dragging several people out. None of the designated police officers did anything.

It should be recalled that the Belarusian mobile operator A1 announced the reduction of Internet bandwidth in Minsk, where a protest action is taking place on Sunday, September 6. The restrictions are related to the order of the authorities in force.

In another Belarusian city of Grodno, clashes between protesters and riot police began, security forces fired tear gas.

Belarusians have been protesting against Alexander Lukashenko’s regime for a month.
