Russian actor Mikhail Efremov, who created the fatal accident in central Moscow, believes he should be sentenced to eight years. He gave such a forecast in a conversation with his lawyer Elman Pashayev, reports TASS.
The images of the conversation were presented on the “New Russian sensations” program on the NTV channel. The conversation took place at the actor’s home before his last word speech in court.
“Maybe no biology to admit blame? They got it. Or maybe shoot me?” – said the artist.
Pashayev voiced the same opinion on September 5. Mikhail’s sentence is supposed to be announced by Moscow’s Presnensky Court on September 8. The defendant requested 11 years in prison in a strict regime colony for Efremov, arguing that without isolation from society, the actor will not improve.
Let us remember that the fatal accident that involved the artist occurred on June 8. Mikhail’s car flew into the opposite lane and collided with the truck. During which the driver of the van, Sergei Zakharov, died in hospital. Efremov initially regretted his act, but later said he did not remember anything about the incident. Later, he will report that the hangover was to blame for the fatal accident, he said.
