The pre-electoral process has begun under the new Electoral Code
In Ukraine, the electoral process has officially started for local elections, which are scheduled for October 25 and will be held under the new Electoral Code, given Ukraine’s territorial base and the number of voters in the community.
Therefore, decisions of local parties on participation in elections must be submitted to the CEC before September 6, the nomination of candidates for the positions of chairmen of settlement councils, candidates for deputies will be carried out from 15 to September 24 and the publication of information on candidate registration must be completed by October 2.
In addition, by October 15, invitations to participate in the elections must be sent to voters, the results of which must be announced by the CEC on November 3-6.
Coronavirus confirmed in more than 133 thousand Ukrainians
On the morning of September 5, 133,787 cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine, of which 2,811 ended in death and 61,649 in recovery. During the day, 2,836 infected were identified, which is a new anti-registration, the second in a row and the third this week.
At the same time, the Health Ministry said that Kiev and 17 regions are not ready to facilitate quarantine, as incidence and occupancy rates in hospitals for COVID-19 patients are exceeded.
The head of the “DPR” ordered to attack the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The head of the self-proclaimed “DPR” Denis Pushilin ordered the destruction of the structures of the Ukrainian army in the area of the village of Shumy, Donetsk region. He called on the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of September 7 to ensure the absence of personnel in the indicated area, and on the OSCE to monitor the operation.
In this regard, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said that the Kiev official is convening an emergency meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group.
Fitch affirms Ukraine’s issuer default rating at ‘B’
The international rating agency Fitch Ratings affirmed Ukraine’s long-term foreign and domestic currency issuer default rating at “B” with a stable outlook.
Therefore, the agency’s experts predict the international reserves of the Ukrainian state by the end of 2020 $ 27.4 billion, compared to $ 29 billion at the beginning of September.
