American lawyer Jerry Skinner, who represents the interests of the families of the victims of flight MH17 at the European Court of Human Rights, said that Russia deliberately shot down an airliner. In his view, the aim of the Russian Federation was to accuse Ukraine of shooting down the plane and to use this as an excuse to send troops.
Skinner said this in an interview with Ukrinform in The Hague.
“This was done deliberately with a specific intention: to shoot down an airliner and kill innocents … They transported tanks, multiple rocket launch systems, equipment and people. provocation, deliberately knocked down “, – he said.
Let us remind you that the court hearings on the Boeing crash in the skies over Donbass in July 2014 will continue on September 28. According to lawyers, 76 relatives of the victims have already announced that they want to speak at the trial.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, in July the Netherlands filed a new lawsuit against Russia at the ECHR and in the MH17 case, and last week the European Court notified Russia of the corresponding lawsuit.
Note that the EU expects Russia to take responsibility for the MH17 disaster.
Malaysia’s Boeing-777 flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur was shot down over the occupied Donbass on July 17, 2014. The disaster killed 298 people. The main version is that the plane was shot down by pro-Russian militants from the BUK anti-aircraft gun, which was brought from the territory of Russia.
