Adaptive quarantine is an ideal strategy to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, it allows you not to impose severe restrictions across the country, said Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
Ukraine’s Health Minister Maxim Stepanov called for compliance with the adaptive quarantine requirements; otherwise, the country may not have enough doctors to treat COVID-19 patients, he said during a briefing, the GORDON correspondent reports.
“I heard from some local authorities that they do not agree and will not comply with [карантинные ограничения]… There is a law in Ukraine, and it is obliged to comply with the decisions issued by the Commission for Emergency Situations, “the minister stressed.
He called on citizens to stop being frivolous about the quarantine rules, calling them a new reality.
“There is simply no other way to defeat COVID-19. Either we adhere to the rules and then we will defeat it, or we see apocalyptic images in our cities, districts, when our medical institutions will not be able to provide care, because the number of patients will be such. they will not be able to cope, “Stepanov said.
He called adaptive quarantine an ideal strategy that allows him to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and introduce restrictions based on the epidemiological situation in specific cities or areas, without shutting down the entire country or region.
